About

Welcome to my blog. And thank you for taking the time to read it.

I have been a photographer for over fifty years, having fired the passion with the purchase of my first camera – a Kodak Box Brownie – when I was 12 years of age.

Since retirement, I have never had so much time to practice my photography, especially bird photography. Many of my bird photographs are posted at Twitter where you can follow me and view my bird shots.

  5. Hey Fred,

Thanks for all of your support through Twitter and congrats on retirement! I’m 12 years away and it can’t come fast enough. I love how passionate you are with your photos and keep up the great work. Maybe one day when one of us makes the trek across the ocean we can get out for a shoot.

    • Thank you, Kevin. Keep working towards that retirement, I’ve never been this contented in a long time. I would love to photo shoot with you, you never know what the future holds. I could certainly show you some great places here.

  6. Funny to read your gravatar, I think I like the same things as you do .. 🙂 although I don’t have any bird photo’s on my blog, I’ve really loved them since I was little. And I’m best mates with my Olympus camera, and Apple too 😉

  7. Fred,
Wow! That full frontal photo of your Grey Goshawk is stunning. I’m transfixed by those RED eyes. Any bird or rodent that has those 2 eyes approaching it at 90 mph is ……………………..
